In between Com and Jaco sits the steep oceanside cliffs of Tutuala. These sites are some of the best reef sections in all of Timor, and sightings of pelagics such as Giant Trevally, tunas, sharks, barracudas and more. Exposed to currents, expect drift dives when visiting these sites. The sites are also only accessible by boat, as major parts of them sit against an immediate cliff on shore.
The best times of year to dive this section is between May to November, but exercise precaution and dive under the supervision and guidance of professional dive operators with sufficient local experience, due to the remoteness of the location.
